Holy Trinity CE Primary School

Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Winter is here!

This week Reception have been reading the book 'Blue Penguin'. We have enjoyed lots of fun activities linked to the book such as recognising the initial sounds in words (we were amazing at that!), creating freeze frames and making winter pictures.

We made our winter pictures by using a picture in the book as inspiration (as we are artists) and some of us used our own knowledge of winter to draw the pictures. We used different resources like cotton, colours, rice, orange paper and many other items. Can you see how we've used them in creative ways?
