Holy Trinity CE Primary School

Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

High 5!

This week we have been working on our motor skills, counting to five and enjoying learning about the features of books.

We have been learning all about the number five and giving each other high fives as well as our paper.
We used our fingers to work out what one more and one less than five is.
Can you remember?
What is one more than five?
We have become very interested in books this week, particularly telling each other stories and the features of a book.
Can you remember which part of a book is called the spine?
In write dance we have been pretending we are trees growing, we then drew trees using lines and circles to represent the fruit.
Can you name two types of fruit that grows on trees?
We made cheese and carrot savouries in cooking this week.
We learnt how to grate using carrots (we had to mind our fingers)
and we are using the correct language naturally as we cook.
Stir, measure, mix, bake and cut is just some of the language that we use.
