Learning and caring together, building a firm foundation for the future

Is it winter?

This week Nursery has begun to investigate the signs of winter as well as how to dress for winter weather.

In maths we have been learning all about 2D shapes. We have counted how many sides each of the shapes have, and went on a 2D shape hunt in our classroom.
How many different shapes can you find in your home?
We discussed clothing that would be good to wear when we go outside to play during winter, but 'oh no!' we put them on the wrong way!
The children had to instruct us on how to put hats, scarves, gloves and boots on correctly.
Well done Robins! You knew how to dress yourselves.
Can you remind me where my scarf should go?
We have begun to look at features of a book as well as predicting what will happen in our new story 'Blue Penguin' by Petr Horacek.
We made beautiful penguins using different materials.
Petr Horacek wrote the book, can you remember what name we give to someone who writes books?
